CMO tenure & Interactive Marketing
In the Ad Age article "CMOs stuck around even longer in '08" by Jennifer Rooney, part of the reason tenure increased was due to embracing new technology. Within technology, recurring reasons for tenure improvement were analytics and ability to directly measure outcomes.

Could the argument also be made that the economy itself is having some influence on everyone's (CMO's included) propensity to stick around longer as options outside their current company constrict?
